Assign a field to a locator

Use the procedure in this topic to assign a field to a locator.

A field needs to be associated with a locator in order to get extraction results for the located data on the document.

Before you begin

Before you can assign a field to a locator, verify the following steps are complete:

  • You have added at least one locator.

  • You have added at least one field.

Procedure

  1. Expand the Project Tree and select the class that contains the field to be assigned to a locator.
  2. Optional. View the class contents if they are not already displayed.

    The hidden class contents are displayed.

  3. Select the field in the Project Tree.

    The Field properties are displayed in the Details window.

  4. Select a value for the Locator from the list of available locators.

    The results from the selected locator populate the field during runtime.

  5. Optional. Configure the other field settings.
