Work with image cleanup profiles
Use the procedure in this topic to manage the image cleanup profiles in your project.
Procedure

On the
Project tab, in the
Configuration group, select
Project Settings
.
- Select the Image Cleanup tab to view the image cleanup settings.

Depending on your requirements, do one of the following:

Steps
Add an image cleanup profile
This is useful if you have one or more images that contain smudges or other elements that interfere with the recognition results.

Select Add
.
The Image Cleanup Profile Properties window is displayed.

Select Add
.
The Add Image Cleanup Method window is displayed.

On the list, select the desired cleanup method and select OK.

Configure the image cleanup method as required.

Optional. Repeat steps 1 to 4 to add additional cleanup methods to this image cleanup profile.

Optional. Use the Move Up and Move Down buttons to rearrange the methods in the corrects order.

Select OK to close the Image Cleanup Profile Properties window.
Delete an image cleanup profile
This is useful if an image cleanup profile is no longer needed. The best practice is to remove unused image cleanup profiles from your project.

Select the image cleanup profile you want to delete.

Select Delete
.
When prompted, select OK to confirm the deletion.
Copy an image cleanup profile
This is useful if one of the existing cleanup profiles is not sufficient for some documents, but suitable for others. In this case, instead of modifying a profile, create a copy. This way the original profile is still available.

Select the image cleanup profile you want to copy.

Select Copy
.
The Image Cleanup Profile Properties window is displayed.

Modify the properties as needed.

Select OK to exit the properties window.
Rename an image cleanup profile

Select the image cleanup profile you want to rename.

Select Rename
.

Provide the new name for the image cleanup profile and press Enter.
Modify an image cleanup profile

Select the image cleanup profile you want to modify and select Properties
.
The Image Cleanup Profile Properties window is displayed.

Edit the properties as needed.

Select Close to exit the properties window.
Import an image cleanup profile

Select Import
.
The Import profile window is displayed.

Navigate to and select the image cleanup profile you want to import.

Select Open.
The imported profile is displayed on the list of image cleanup profiles.

Optional. Modify the properties as needed.
Export an image cleanup profile
This enables you to configure an image cleanup profile once and use it in multiple projects.

Select Export
.
The Export profile window is displayed.

Navigate to the location where you want to export the profile and select Save.
The exported .icp file is saved.

- Optional. Select OK to close the Project Settings window.
- Save the changes to your project.
