Work with user-defined columns

Use the procedure in this topic to manage user-defined columns.

If a column is not included in the global columns, you can add one or more user-defined columns to the column pool. These columns are then usable table models.

Procedure

  1. On the Project tab, in the Configuration group, select Project Settings Project Settings icon.
  2. Select the Tables tab to view the table settings.
  3. Select the Column Pool group.
  4. Depending on your requirements, do one of the following:

    Add a user-defined column

    1. Select Add New Column Add New Column icon.

    2. Enter a name for the new user-defined column into the Default field.

    Delete a user-defined column

    1. Select Delete Selected Column Delete Selected Column icon.

    2. When prompted, select Yes to confirm deletion.

    Rename a user-defined column

    1. Double-click a column.

    2. Enter a name for the column into the Default field and select OK

  5. Select OK.

    The list of user-defined columns is updated accordingly.

  6. Optional. Select OK to close the Project Settings window.
  7. Save the changes to your project.
