Export a string substitution

Use the procedure in this topic to export a string substitution. This is useful if you use the same database in more than one project.

Procedure

  1. On the Project tab, in the Configuration group, select Project Settings Project Settings icon.
  2. Select the Databases tab to view the databases settings.
  3. In the String Substitution group, select Import.
  4. Navigate to the desired location and enter a name for the exported substitution file (*.sdl), and select Save.

    The *.sdl file is saved to the specified location.

  5. Optional. Select OK to close the Project Settings window.
  6. Save the changes to your project.
