Merge training sets manually

If your project has any documents in the Classification Set, the Extraction Set, or the Table Extraction set, these documents are not merged automatically when two projects are merged.

Because of this, it is necessary to manually merge your training documents so they are not lost during the merge.

Steps 1 to 3 below must be performed before you merge your projects. Otherwise, all training data is lost.

Procedure

  1. To merge your project, open a training set.
    The path where these training documents is stored is listed in the header of the Documents pane. If the path is too long, select any document in that document set, right-click, and select Open in Windows Explorer on the shortcut menu.
  2. Copy the selected document set outside of the project.
  3. Repeat the above 2 steps if you have other training sets.
  4. Merge your project.
  5. Open your newly merged project.
  6. Open the document set from step 2 as a test set.
  7. Add the relevant documents to the appropriate training set.
  8. Repeat the above 2 steps if you have other training sets.
  9. Train your project.
    Your new project has the same training documents as the original project.
