Test zones on the reference document

Use the procedure in this topic to test a zone on the reference document.

Within the Properties window of the zone, you can test your zone settings on the reference document to improve the quality of the later results. This preliminary test enables you to optimize general settings, along with Image Cleanup and anchoring.

When testing in the Properties window of the zone, you only get the results of the reference document, even if you have opened another document in the Document Viewer (zone mode). To test the results for other documents, you need to test them in the locator properties.

Procedure

  1. Open the locator properties.
  2. Open the reference document.

    The Document Viewer (zone mode) window is displayed.

  3. On the Zones tab, select the zone you are testing.
  4. Select Properties Properties icon.

    The Properties of Zone window is displayed.

  5. Test the zone.

    You can check the accuracy of the result in the Recognition Test area.

  6. Optional. Edit the zone properties to improve the results.
