Define a group field with subfields

Use the procedure in this topic to define the output subfields for a group field.

The Script Locator can produce multiple results when using a group field.

Procedure

  1. Open the locator properties.
  2. On the Field Definition tab, select the Group field setting.

    The Sub field names pane becomes available.

  3. Select Add.

    A subfield name is added to the list.

  4. Select the newly added subfield to make the text editable.
  5. Enter a name for the subfield.
  6. As needed, repeat step 3 through 5.
  7. Create the defined subfields in script with matching names. To open the script, select Show Script.
  8. Optional. Select Close to close the locator properties window.
  9. Save the changes to your project.
