Import a file-based project

Use the procedure in this topic to import a file-based project into the Tungsten TotalAgility database.

Before you begin

Before you can import a file-based project, verify that no projects are open.

Procedure

  1. Select the File menu.
  2. Select Import File-Based Project Import icon.

    The Import Project window is displayed.

  3. In the Import Project window , configure the following:

    Name

    The name of the project.

    Project file

    Enter the path of your project or browse to the project directory and select the project file.

    Project type

    The following values are available.

    Extraction Group:

    Choose this value if you want your project to be an Extraction Group.

    Shared Project:

    Choose this value if you want your project to a shared project.

    Select category

    Select from the list of available categories.

    If a suitable category is not available, add them in Advanced Studio.

  4. Select OK to import the file-based project.

    The imported project is opened automatically so you can make the necessary changes.
