Work with dictionaries
Use the procedure in this topic to work with dictionaries.
Procedure

On the
Project tab, in the
Configuration group, select
Project Settings
.
- Select the Dictionaries tab to view the dictionary settings.

Depending on your requirements, do one of the following:

Add a dictionary

Select Add
.

In the new window, provide a descriptive name for the new dictionary name and press Enter.

Select OK.
The Dictionary Options window is displayed.

Select where the Referenced import file (text or csv file) is located:

File system
-
Select Browse and navigate to the .txt or .csv file.
A copy of the source database file is imported to the project.

Web
-
Select Browse URL and enter the appropriate web address.

Optional. Select Yes for the Use Windows authentication setting if the specified URL is protected. Provide a User Name and Password.

Select Test to ensure the URL is working as expected.s

Modify the other dictionary settings as required.

Select OK to save your dictionary settings.
Delete a dictionary

Select the dictionary you want to delete.

Select Remove.
When prompted, select OK to confirm the deletion.
Rename a dictionary

Select the dictionary you want to rename.

Select Rename
.

Provide a new name for the dictionary and press Enter.

To ensure the most recent version of the dictionary is available, select the renamed dictionary and select Import
.
When prompted to confirm the import, select Yes.
Modify a dictionary

Select the dictionary you want to modify.

Select Properties
.
The Dictionary Options window is displayed.

Update the referenced import file if necessary.

Update the Import Options if needed.

Update the Auto Replacement Text settings if needed.

Optional. Select or clear Automatic update from import file.

Select OK to save your dictionary settings.

- Optional. Select OK to close the Project Settings window.
- Save the changes to your project.
