Administration
On the Kofax RPA Kapplets Administration page, create and restore Kapplets backup files and provide a shared secret. These tabs are available only for administrators.
Backup
Use this tab to create and restore Kapplets backup files created with Kofax RPA version 11.3.0 and newer. For earlier versions, see Backup, restore, and migrate.
To create a backup, click Create backup.
A zipped backup file is created automatically on your computer. The backup contains Kapplets, templates, schedules, workspaces, and users and groups. The backup does not include Kapplets history.
To restore a backup, click Select a file from your computer.
A window with previously saved backup files appears, where you can select and open the one you want.
Shared secret
Use this tab to enter the shared secret. The shared secret authenticates Kapplets users with Management Console and provides additional security.
The shared secret must match the one specified in the Management Console and can be copied from the Service authentication section of the Management Console.
If the secret is not provided or changed in the Management Console, no data will be transferred from the Management Console into Kapplets until the administrator manually copies and pastes the secret into Kapplets, which can be done either on this tab or in the dedicated field at login.
