License server

Use the "License server" tab to enter and view license information when Kofax RPA is configured with unified licensing on a Kofax TotalAgility license server. This option is available only when your installation includes Kofax TotalAgility.

When Kofax RPA is licensed using a Kofax TotalAgility server, an icon appears next to the "License server" tab label.

Using Kofax TotalAgility as a distribution gateway, each Kofax RPA Management Console uses the Kofax TotalAgility licensing web API to acquire and report license usage.

The "License server" dialog box includes the following information.

KTA server URL	The URL of the Kofax TotalAgility installation acting as the license server.
License API Key	The Kofax TotalAgility License API Key. If Management Consoles are acting as part of one HA cluster, all Management Consoles must be assigned the same license API key. If Management Consoles are acting independently but use the same license server, every Management Console must use a different license API key on the license server.
Number of production CREs to reserve	The number of production CRE licenses that the Management Console allocates on startup. The purpose of this setting is to distribute the CREs between Management Consoles if more than one Management Console cluster communicates with the same Kofax TotalAgility license server. The administrator can distribute the number of CREs to different Management Console clusters using this setting.
Number of non-production CREs to reserve	The number of non-production CRE licenses to reserve. If unlimited CRE licenses are available, this number is ignored and the unlimited number is used.
Maximum number of users	The maximum number of users that the Management Console can use. This maximum sets a limit, regardless of more licenses being available. The purpose is to distribute licenses if multiple Management Console clusters use the same license and license server. If not specified, the user number is unlimited.
Maximum number of Design Studio seats	The maximum number of Design Studio seats that the Management Console can use. Works the same as the maximum number of users.
