Scanning settings
This topic describes scanning settings that are available for the Fujifilm component.
The list of available settings depends on the device type. If a setting is not
available, the related field is disabled or a warning is displayed.

Two Sided Scan | Indicates if the document has one or two sides:

Next Original | Select this check box to scan multiple documents from the glass or feeder. |

Color Mode | Indicates whether to scan the original in color or black and white mode:

File Format | Indicates the type of file to save scanned data. The following file types are supported:

Background Suppression |
Removes blank pages from scanned documents:

Contrast | Adjust the contrast between black and white in the scan. Choose the appropriate contrast from -2 to 2. The default is 0. |
Reduce/Enlarge | Adjust the size of the image or text for the scan:

Sharpness | Choose the appropriate sharpness from -2 to 2. The default is 0. |
Original Orientation | Indicates the paper orientation of the scanned document.

Indicates the size of paper being scanned.

Original Type |
Optimizes the output for text or image:

Resolution | Indicates the scanning resolution:
|
Scan Preview | Displays a preview of the scanned file on the device screen. |
Mixed Size Originals | Select this check box to scan multiple pages in different sizes. |

Photographs | Select Enhance Photographs if scanning a photograph. Off is the default. |
Book Scanning | Arranges the two or more pages of a scanned document onto the front and back of one sheet of paper:

Edge Erase |

Top & Bottom | Erases the top and bottom edge by the same amount. The default is 0. |
Left & Right | Erases the left and right edge by the same amount. The default is 2. |
Binding Edge Errors | Erases all four edges by the same amount. The default is 0. |
Shadow Suppression | Select Auto Suppression to lighten the background to increase visibility of a faint image. This setting is not supported when the color mode is Black and White. |
