Document In Specific State For Elapsed Time - Notification Editor dialog box
You can send notifications to users when specific events occur in the document life cycle. When you are creating or updating a notification profile, you can access this dialog box when you click Add or Modify.
This dialog box opens when you add or modify the notifications that are sent when a document is in a specific state for a certain amount of time.
Notifications grid
Configures the notifications that will be sent. Click directly in the grid to configure the notification.
Send notification via — Specifies how the notification will be sent and displayed. You can send notifications as an Email Message or using the Tray Client Popup or WCF. If you are sending an email message, you can also select the email profile to use.
Notify document owner — Sends a notification to the document owner.
Notify recipients — Specifies the who will receive the notification. Click Add to select users and groups in the User and Group Selection dialog box. If the user or group you want is not listed, click More Users to search for additional users. See the Adding users and groups to Output Manager topic for detailed procedures on adding users.
Document states — Select the states for the document: Busy, Cancelled, Error, Hold, Incomplete, Processing Ad Hoc Rules, Processing Business Rules, Ready, Retry Pending, and Scheduled.
Elapsed time before notifying — Select how much time will pass before sending the notification.
Check every — Select how often Output Manager should check for this event.
Subject — Enter a name for the notification type. The default name is Output Manager Notification.
Message — Specifies the notification text. By default text is provided specific to each notification type. You can click the grid cell to make any text changes. The message can consist of text, one or more document properties, and functions.
To insert functions, right-click in the box, click Insert Function, and choose the appropriate function. Review the Using Output Manager functions help topic for information on configuring functions.
To insert document properties, right-click in the text box, click Insert Notification Specific Property, and choose the appropriate properties. The document properties will display enclosed in brackets ({}). This allows notifications to contain text relevant to the specific document that is generating the notification.
