Upgrade an Output Manager database on a remote SQL instance
SQL Native Client and SQL Command Line Utility have to be installed for the OM database upgrade scripts to complete the upgrade.
-
Verify if the SQL Native Client is installed.
In a typical installation, SQL Native Client is located in the Windows\System32 folder. The file name is sqlncli11.dll or sqlncli13.dll.
-
Verify if the Microsoft SQL Command Line Utility is installed by typing
sqlcmd in the Administrator Command Prompt.
If it is not installed, the system displays a 'sqlcmd' is not recognized as an internal or external command message.
In a typical installation, sqlcmd is located in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\110\Tools\Bin\ or C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\130\Tools\Bin\ folder.
- If either of these needs to be installed, download ENU\x64\MsSqlCmdLnUtils.msi or ENU\x64\sqlncli.msi from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=54279.
