Maintain an activity variant

You can modify, copy, unlock/lock, and delete an activity variant.

Modify an activity variant

  1. Navigate to Capture > Document/Activity variants.

    The list of extraction groups available within your working category appears.

  2. Expand the extraction group, document type, and document variant, and select the activity variant you want to modify.
  3. To lock the variant for modification, click Yes on the confirmation message.
    The Edit activity variant dialog box is displayed.
  4. Make changes to the variant as needed.
  5. Click Save.

Create a copy of an activity variant

  1. Navigate to Capture > Document/Activity variants.

    The list of document types available within your working category appears.

  2. Expand the extraction group, document type, and document variant.

    The list of activity variants in the document variants is displayed.

  3. On the context menu of the activity variant to copy, click Copy.
    A copy of the activity variant is created prefixed with "Copy 1 of."
  4. Click the newly created variant and modify it as needed. You can select the fields to ignore.
  5. Click Save.

Delete an activity variant

  1. Navigate to Capture > Document/Activity variants.

    The list of document variants available within your working category appears.

  2. Expand the extraction group, document type, and document variant under which the activity variant is created.
  3. On the context menu of the activity variant, click Delete.

    On confirmation, the variant is deleted.
