Configure a Mark finished activity
Use the following procedure to configure a Mark finished activity.

Add an activity to the map.
By default, the Configuration tab is open in the properties panel of the activity.
- Change the default Name of the activity to something meaningful.
- On the Type list, select .

Input document/folder list, select a document or folder variable as an input
to the activity. See

variable.
At runtime, the document is marked as finished with a corresponding timestamp so that the retention policy knows when the retention period has started for a particular document and hence when a document becomes subject to deletion. If a folder variable is used, all the documents (including the documents in sub-folders) in the folder are marked as finished, with a timestamp.
