Associate a business event

Associate a business event with an activity.

  1. In the Activity properties panel, click the After processing tab.
  2. Click for Business events.

    The Fire business event dialog box is displayed.

  3. On the Event list, select an event.
    The fields of the selected event appear.
  4. To use a state event identifier, select State event and select a process or server variable.
    A state identifier holds the ID of the task while it changes from one state to the next, reporting only on the most recent state. However, all triggered events are registered in the database.
  5. Map the relevant process or server variable to each of the fields. If the required variable is not available, you can create a new variable directly from the activity properties panel. See Create a process variable while configuring activity properties.
  6. Click Add.
