Maintain Bar code and patch code profiles

You can modify, copy, and delete a Bar code and patch code profile.

  1. Navigate to Capture > Bar code and patch code profiles.

    The list of bar code and patch code profiles appear.

  2. To modify a bar code and patch code profile:
    1. Click a bar code and patch code profile to modify.

      The Edit bar code and patch code profile dialog box is displayed.

    2. Make changes as needed.
    3. Save the bar code and patch code profile.
  3. To create a copy of the bar code and patch code profile:
    1. On the context menu of the bar code and patch code profile, click Copy.
      The New bar code and patch code profile dialog box displays the copy of bar code and patch code profile with the name, CopyOf_<Bar code and patch code profile name>.
    2. Make changes as needed, such as rename the profile.
    3. Save the profile.
  4. To delete a bar code and patch code profile, on the context menu of the bar code and patch code profile, click Delete.

    On confirmation, the bar code and patch code profile is deleted.

View Bar code and patch code profile associations

You can view the list of processes (including the case definitions and business rules) that are using the current bar code and patch code profile.

  1. Navigate to Capture > Bar code and patch code profiles.
    The list of bar code and patch code profiles are displayed.
  2. Click the bar code and patch code profile for which to view the associations.

    The Edit bar code and patch code profile dialog box is displayed.

  3. Click the Associations tab.

    The process names (as hyperlink) along with the latest process version that is using the current bar code and patch code profiles are displayed. You can click the process name link to open the process in a new browser tab, and make changes as needed.

    If the current version of a process is not associated with the bar code and patch code profile, but an earlier version was associated, then the associated process name and the version number are still displayed on the associations tab.

    If the bar code and patch code profile is open and you have used the current bar code and patch code profile in another process, or renamed the already associated process, click Refresh to display the newly associated, updated or renamed processes.
