Properties of a classification group
Use the following tabs to configure the properties of a classification group.
General
Name |
Enter a name for the classification group, such as Finance. |
Description |
Optional. Enter a description, such as "This classification group is used to classify all finance-related documents." |
Category |
Select a category for the classification group. By default, TotalAgility places the new classification group in your working category. |
Extraction groups |
Add the extraction groups to include in your classification group. A classification group can only use released extraction groups. |

The system automatically displays the GUID. Use this ID in a String variable (process or server) to dynamically set the classification group using a variable in a Capture process. |
Keep locked |
Keeps the classification group locked. |
Resources
Use the Resources tab to assign access permissions to an individual or a group to restrict or grant access to maintain a classification group. When you import a process, form, or package, or upgrade TotalAgility from a previous version, the maintenance access for the classification group is set to "Everyone" with "Full control."
When you export a package that includes a classification group, the access permissions are maintained.
- On the Resources tab, click for Maintenance access.
- Click for Maintenance access.
- On the Name list, select a group or individual whom to assign access permissions.

Read
Users with this access type can only view the classification group; they cannot modify or delete the classification group or set and change the access permissions for other users.
Limited to online learning
Users with this access type can open the classification group in the Transformation Designer to update extraction online learning. They can then import new sample documents that are collected by the online learning system, retrain, and resolve conflicts. They can then release the updated classification group. They cannot modify the design or settings for the classification group.
For shared projects, access to the extraction group is needed before you can provide access to the classification group. This is not necessary for classification group-only projects.
For more information on extraction online learning, refer to the KofaxTransformation Designer Help.
- Save or Release the classification group.

Use the Info tab to view the following information for a classification group:
