Properties of a classification group

Use the following tabs to configure the properties of a classification group.

General

Name

Enter a name for the classification group, such as Finance.

Description

Optional. Enter a description, such as "This classification group is used to classify all finance-related documents."

Category

Select a category for the classification group.

By default, TotalAgility places the new classification group in your working category.

Extraction groups

Add the extraction groups to include in your classification group.

A classification group can only use released extraction groups.

ID

The system automatically displays the GUID. Use this ID in a String variable (process or server) to dynamically set the classification group using a variable in a Capture process.

Keep locked

Keeps the classification group locked.

Resources

Use the Resources tab to assign access permissions to an individual or a group to restrict or grant access to maintain a classification group. When you import a process, form, or package, or upgrade TotalAgility from a previous version, the maintenance access for the classification group is set to "Everyone" with "Full control."

When you export a package that includes a classification group, the access permissions are maintained.

  1. On the Resources tab, click for Maintenance access.
  2. Click for Maintenance access.
  3. On the Name list, select a group or individual whom to assign access permissions.
  4. Select an access Type. Available options are:

    Type

    Description

    Full control

Users with this access type can create, modify, and delete the classification group, and set and modify the access permissions for other users. By default, the Everyone group has Full control.

    Read write

Users with this access type can modify and delete the classification group but cannot modify the access permissions.

    Read

Users with this access type can only view the classification group; they cannot modify or delete the classification group or set and change the access permissions for other users.

    Limited to online learning

Users with this access type can open the classification group in the Transformation Designer to update extraction online learning. They can then import new sample documents that are collected by the online learning system, retrain, and resolve conflicts. They can then release the updated classification group. They cannot modify the design or settings for the classification group.

For shared projects, access to the extraction group is needed before you can provide access to the classification group. This is not necessary for classification group-only projects.

For more information on extraction online learning, refer to the KofaxTransformation Designer Help.

  5. Save or Release the classification group.

Info

Use the Info tab to view the following information for a classification group:

  • Status: Status of the classification group such as New, Saved, or Released.

  • Version: The current version of the classification group when you save or release it. A saved classification group displays the minor version, such as 0.001 and a released classification group displays the major version, such as 1.0.

After you save or release the classification group, you cannot open the previous versions, but you can delete them.

On this tab, you can also create a new tag or add an existing tag.

The Tags option is only available for a classification group that is saved or released.

Associations

Use the Associations tab to view the list of business processes and skin templates that use the current classification group.

  1. By default, the processes being used by the current classification group, if any are displayed. The associated process name is displayed as a hyperlink along with the version number. You can view the classification group associations for the following:

    • Process: The process being used by this classification group.

You can click the process name link to open the process in a new browser tab and make changes, as needed.

    • Skin template: The skin template being used by this classification group.

  2. To view the associations of a specific type, on the View associations by type list, select the type of association, such as Skin template. (Default: Process)
The skin templates associated with the current classification group if any, are displayed.

Options

Use the Options tab to override the document types available for manual classification.

  1. To define the list of document types for manual classification, select Override document types available for manual classification in Capture activities. (Default: Clear)

If selected, this option takes precedence over the "Available for manual classification" property set for a document type in the extraction group. See the General properties of a document type.

  2. Click Add and add the document types as needed and click Done.

Click Add all to add all documents at one go.

Any document type not included in this list is excluded from manual classification.

  3. To remove a document type from the selected list, click for the document type.

To delete all document types, click Remove all.

If you delete a document type from the extraction group, or remove an extraction group from the classification group, the associated document types added to the "Override document types available for manual classification in capture activities" list are no longer available for manual classification.
