Properties of a Capture Composite control

Configure the properties of a Composite control under the following tabs:

General

Type

The type of the control.

Name

A unique name for the control.

State

The state of the control. Available options are Optional, Mandatory, and Hidden. (Default: Optional)

Enabled

Enables the control at runtime. (Default: Selected)

Security token

Makes the information in the form secure. See Security tokens.

Layout

The layout configured for the capture control.

This property is available even if no layout is defined for the control.

Lock layout

If selected, locks the layout to prevent customization at runtime. (Default: Clear)

Disable field navigation

If selected, disables field navigation at runtime. (Default: Clear)

Show InPlace Editor

Allows you to validate the fields (document and folder) using InPlace Editor. The InPlace Editor panel cycles through all fields as you validate the fields. (Default: Clear)

Show complete and take next

Allows you to complete the current activity and take the next activity. (Default: Clear)

Show complete

Allows you to complete an activity. (Default: Selected)

On upgrading TotalAgility, select this property only when the "Show complete and take next" option is clear.

Show document confidence

Allows you to hide the "Confidence" column on a Document review form. (Default: Selected)

Auto complete behaviour

This property is only available when the "Show complete" and "Show complete and take next" options are selected.

Enable document fields

Allows the document type fields to be visible at runtime. (Default: Selected)

Enable folder fields

Allows the folder type fields to be visible at runtime. (Default: Selected)

Prevent creating an empty job

If selected, prevents job creation if there are no pages or document source files in the batch. If this property is enabled and there are no pages or document source files in the batch, then the Create Job button is disabled at runtime. The corresponding shortcut also does not work.

Rejection reasons

The rejection reasons that appear when you take a Scan, Validation, or Verification activity.

Preserve document type

Retains the document type, field values, and properties as the original document when you take a split document activity. (Default: Clear)

Document type auto complete match type

Allows the field to search for the document type automatically, depending on the selected option:

  • Contains match (default): Displays the list of words that contain a specific letter you enter at runtime.

  • Starts with: Displays the list of words that start with a specific letter you enter at runtime.

Navigate to next error

Allows the field to navigate to the next error for the document type automatically.

Document display text

The title of the Document tab that lists the document fields at runtime.

Folder display text

The title of the Folder tab that lists the folder fields at runtime.

Activity display text

The title of the Activity tab that lists the activities at runtime.

Process display text

The title of the Process tab that lists the processes.

Prevent creating an empty job

If selected, prevents creating unintended empty jobs if there are no pages or document source files available. (Default: Clear)

Disable hotkeys

If selected, disables hotkeys at runtime. (Default: Clear)

Confirmation prompts

Merge document

Shows or hides the confirmation prompt from appearing while merging the documents at runtime. (Default: Show)

Split document

Shows or hides the confirmation prompt from appearing while splitting the document at runtime. (Default: Show)

Change document type

Shows or hides the confirmation prompt from appearing while changing the document type at runtime. (Default: Show)

Variant settings

Document variant

A document variant. It can be a global variable or form variable of type String, or form field, or a static value.

An activity variant. It can be a global variable, form variable or form field (string value), or a static value.
