Lock or unlock an item
You can lock or unlock items such as processes, forms, extraction groups, folder types, classification groups, packages, and more.
Whenever an item is created, it is automatically locked by default so that you can start working on an item without any interference, as it restricts the other users from editing the item. When another user tries to open the item, it opens in a read-only mode with access to the properties. However, the user must unlock the item to edit it as needed. To unlock an item the user must have access permissions. See Access control list.
You can track the locked items based on the item name, item type, and the resource that locked the item. See Lock status search.
