Configure actions for a form control event
Configure actions for the form control events.
You can either add an existing action or create a new action.
Associate an existing action to a form control event

In the properties panel of the control, on the
Events tab, click the event link.
The Event dialog box for the selected control appears.
- Click Add. The Add form action dialog box is displayed.

On the list of actions, select the required action. The selected action is added to the
Selected items list.
You can filter on actions to make your search easy.
To remove a selected action, click for the action. To remove all selected actions, click Remove all.

Click
Done.
Once an action is used in an event, you can click on the action from within the event to open the action details and edit the action directly from the event without having to go back to the list of actions.
Create a new action for a form control event
You can create a new action in one of the following ways:

On the Actions tab in the Form modeling bar, see Action types.

On the Events tab in the Control properties panel. See the following steps.

In the properties panel of the control, on the
Events tab, click the event link.
The Event dialog box for the selected control appears.

Click
Create new action.
The New action dialog box is displayed.
- On the Type list, select the action to create.
- Enter a Name for the action.
- Optional. Enter a Description for the action.
- Configure the action as needed. For details, see individual actions under Action types.
- Click Save.
