Configure a Classification activity
Use the following procedure to configure a Classification activity.
-
Add an activity to the map.
By default, the Configuration tab is open in the properties panel of the activity.
- Change the default Name of the activity to something meaningful.
- On the Type list, select .
- On the Input folder list, select a folder variable that you want to use for classification activity. See Process variables.
- Optional. On the Separation profile list, select the profile. See Create separation profiles.
-
Select whether to inherit the classification group from the process.
- Select Inherit from process to inherit the classification group from the process. At runtime, a list of document types belonging to the classification group at the process level appears.
- Clear Inherit from process to select a different Classification group specific to this activity. You can select a classification group or dynamically set the classification group using a String variable (process or server). The variable holds the GUID of a classification group. You can copy the GUID from the classification group. See General properties of a classification group.
- If you select "Inherit from process" but have not associated a classification group at the process level, the system displays a message.
- If you clear "Inherit from process" and have not associated it at the activity level, the system displays a message.
In both cases, you can only save the process but cannot release it until the configuration is complete.
-
Select one of the following for
Reject documents on exceptions.
-
Use system level setting (default): The system rejects the documents or pages or suspends the job based on the selection of the "Reject documents on exceptions" option in the System settings. For more information, see General.
-
Enabled: All the Transformation server activities reject documents or pages instead of suspending the job when an error occurs. The job continues forward to check for rejected documents and handles the documents accordingly.
-
Disabled: The system suspends the activity on exception.
-
- Configure partial completion of the activity. For more information see Partial completion.
- Save the process map.
- Configure other properties for this activity. See Activity properties.
