Link the TotalAgility servers
Use the following procedure to configure Linked servers.

Navigate to

The Linked servers page appears.
If HTTPS is being used, in some browsers a prompt appears for you to select a client certificate and authenticate yourself. Click Cancel to ignore the prompt as TotalAgility will automatically pass any specified client certificate when required.

Click
New.
The New linked server configuration dialog box is displayed.
- Enter a unique Name for the integration site. The system identifies the linked server with this name.

In the
Current server group, do the following:
- Enter the URL for the Current (Web) server.

To log in, select one of the following for
Credential type:
User credentials (Default)
Enter the username and password for the TotalAgility user on the server.
On upgrading TotalAgility to 8.0.0, if any Linked Server configuration exists, you must reconfigure the current server and target server URLs to point to the Web Server.
Certificate
Click browse and upload a certificate to use to authenticate with the current server and enter the password in Certificate password.
User credentials (external)
Enter the secret name for the username and password stored in the configured external storage.

In the
Target server group, do the following:

Enter a
URL for the Target (Web) server. For example,
http://<servername>/TotalAgility.

The URL can target an on-premise, on-premise multi-tenancy or Azure server.

If the "Allow all" system setting is not enabled, you can only provide a whitelisted URL; otherwise, a message appears stating the connection is denied because the URL connection string is not whitelisted.

To log in, select one of the following for
Credential type:
User credentials (Default)

Enter the username and password of the TotalAgility user on the target server.

To authenticate the username and password stored in the TotalAgility Linked server with Windows on the target server, select Windows authentication on target. (Default: Clear)
The user is only authenticated against TotalAgility when moving a document between the servers.
If the authentication fails, the job is suspended.
Certificate
Click browse and upload a certificate to use to authenticate with the target server and enter the password in Certificate password.
To use a client certificate for two-way TLS authentication, HTTPS must be used on the linked servers.
User credentials (external)

Enter the secret name for the username and password stored in the configured external storage.

To authenticate the username secret and password secret stored in the TotalAgility Linked server with Windows on the target server, select Windows authentication on target. (Default: Clear)
The user is only authenticated against TotalAgility when moving a document between the servers.
If the authentication fails, the job is suspended.

Enter a
URL for the Target (Web) server. For example,
http://<servername>/TotalAgility.

To validate the target server details and transfer documents from the current to the target server, select
One-way transfer. (Default: Clear)
If this option is not selected, the current server is validated from the remote server, and documents are transferred from the current to the target server and vice-versa.

To send statistics and KPI data to the target server, select
Send reporting data (default: Clear). If you change this setting, you need to
restart the Reporting Server Service.
TotalAgility uses Kofax Reporting to collect and report statistics and KPI data across disparate TotalAgility sites. The reports are generated from a single reporting database where data across all TotalAgility sites resides.

Click
Save.
If the URL is incorrect or the user credentials are invalid, a message appears.
