Name

By default, the name of the root folder is displayed as Root Folder. However, you can change the folder name as needed, such as Human Resources.

Name template

A name template helps you dynamically create a display name for a folder. You can define a name template using properties and fields, or a combination of properties and fields in addition to static text. At runtime, TotalAgility replaces the folder name with the name of the folder type and replaces the fields with the field values.

1. On the Properties list, select CustomText or FolderType. A placeholder for the custom text or folder name appears in the Name template field.

   You can add a folder type name, folder custom text, and select a combination of fields and properties. You can use a placeholder multiple times.

   Initially, the Fields list is empty. As you add fields to the Field Group under Root Folder, the fields appear on the Fields list.

2. Optional. On the Fields list, select a field. A placeholder for the selected field appears in the Name template field. The list of fields is empty unless fields are defined for the current folder type or the root folder type.

   • A name template does not support variables of type Table, Choice, or Boolean.

   • When upgrading TotalAgility, to use bar code value as folder name, in the Name template field, replace [FolderName] or [FolderType] with [CustomText] or insert [CustomText].

     At runtime, the system replaces the folder name with the name of the folder type or the bar code value and replaces fields with the field values.

Optional. A description for the folder.

Category

A category for the folder.

Version

Displays the current version of the folder.

Status

Displays the status of the folder indicating whether the folder is saved or released. You can only use a released folder in a process
