Stacking

The stacking process is intended to be run at specific times with infrequent intervals, e.g. once a day at a particular time. The default implementation of this process uses a Timer object that runs the CCM_Stacking standard process once a day at 3 AM. To change the time at which process runs, follow these steps:

  1. In the Navigator upper pane, select the folder. In the Navigator lower pane, find and double-click CCM_Stacking.

The process appears in the central pane.

  2. Double-click the Timer object in the central pane.
  3. In the dialog that appears, adjust the timer settings and then click OK.

The Timer property dialog box does not save specific checked days for long-term iterations in certain months or long-term iterations in all months.

  4. Click the Save button in the upper left corner to save the changes.

The changes are saved in the process itself and only affect the Stacking component of CCM_Stacking.

Timer objects are not suitable for running processes frequently with small intervals, for example, less than an hour apart. If the stacking process must be run frequently at small intervals then it should use a loop containing sleep statements that implement the interval instead of a timer object.

Also, you can use the Stacking component configuration functions to change the process behavior. See the section Stacking component functions in the Batch & Output Management Scripting Developer's Guide.

When a stack is abandoned, the communications that belongs to this stack go into error.
