Registering KCM Instance manually

This section describes the steps you must follow to register your KCM instance manually.

If registration on the Contract Manager fails, StartInstance.exe will not fail as a whole. Instead, it will start the KCM instance without registering it at the Contract Managers.

  1. Locate the instance registration file at: <deploy root>\KCM\Work\<version>\Instance_<num>\instance.xml

  2. Copy the file to the Contract Manager server.

  3. Manually run the following command: ManageCM /ProcessRegistrationFile /register /file=<registration file>

  4. Manually run the AddExampleWebApp.exe tool to install the example web application.
