Switch to old installation

Since KCM is installed side-by-side with the previous version, you can easily switch to your old installation if the new installation does not work properly.

  1. Navigate to: <deploy root>\KCM\Programs\<version>\Management\Upgrade
  2. Run Deactivate.exe to deactivate the new KCM installation.

After running this command, the new KCM installation is no longer active, and an older installation can be activated. Activate the older installation of by using a relevant tool. For example, use Activate.55.exe for activating a KCM 5.5.0 installation.

To switch back to the new KCM installation, you must first deactivate the older installation. Deactivate the older installation by using a relevant tool. For example, use Deactivate.55.exe for deactivating the KCM 5.5.0 installation.

After deactivating the older installation, you can activate the new KCM installation again:

  1. Navigate to: <deploy root>\KCM\Programs\<version>\Management\Upgrade
  2. Run Activate.exe to activate the new KCM installation.
