Capture failed (Scan). Reason: Transfer failed to computer

You have been trying to use Printix Capture on HP or Konica Minolta, but the printer is unable to reach the Printix Client computer by hostname. This is a requirement, because the printer/computer scan connection uses secure HTTPS communication, and to avoid having to renew certificates whenever the computer changes IP address, it must be possible to reference the computer by hostname.

Ping Windows computer by hostname

Use the below command from another computer on the printer's network to verify that you can ping the computer by hostname, that is, the computer that was responsible for the transfer.

  1. Open a Command prompt and type: ping {COMPIX.acme.com}

    {COMPIX.acme.com} is the computer's fully qualified domain name.
